Alchemy Heroes stepped out of the wishing room in Kurtis Berger's mind and into it’s beginnings in Sept of 2006. It honestly started in a one bedroom apartment that Kurtis shared with my brother in Hollywood. Imagine your living space having to form itself around a 1930's one bedroom stacked full of drums, and amps, and pedals and guitars. IT WAS AWESOME!! 

 

They became a trio in March of 07, songs were done in a few months. Alchemy Heroes recorded a 3 song EP in the fall, but never released it. The band kept hacking away into new material, but struggled because they were always intended to at least be a 4 piece. In 2008, the four pieces that finally worked came into shape and eventually became a 5 piece with a new front man. That all fell apart in 2010, and Kurtis' brother quit that May moving to a different state. 

 

The band literally had to rebuild all players except the drummer and rhythm guitarist. This process continued in multiple forms until 2013, when Lucas Holter joined the band during the winter. Bass player, Ben Jindra, joined in the fall of 2013 and the band recorded a new EP in March of 2014. Then, their lead guitar player had to quit, and so did the rhythm guitar player due to commitments in other groups.  Joe joined usin the fall of 2014 and here we are. 

 

We are all looking for the same thing, a chance to be heard… what happens after that… is none of my business….
